Renesans H2OilPrint Oil-Based Relief Printing Ink 60 ml
H2Oil PRINT is a high-quality graphic ink designed for relief printing techniques such as linocut, woodcut, and block printing. Made with linseed oil and featuring a pleasant scent, the ink contains no solvents and can be easily washed off with water, even after drying.
Drying time depends on temperature, ventilation, ink layer thickness and the type of paper used. Although the ink is oil-based, it is water-soluble, and the polymerisation of linseed oil takes longer than the drying of water-based inks. This results in prints with deeper, richer colours characteristic of traditional oil inks.
On paper, drying is relatively quick but still typical for oil-based products — the finished print should be left to dry in a drawer, cupboard or hung for at least 2 weeks.
For surface protection or layered work, we recommend using Renesans transparent fixative as a final coating.
H2Oil PRINT colours contain high-quality organic and inorganic pigments offering excellent lightfastness and strong intensity (especially the blacks). The inks can be layered, mixed, diluted with water, and are ready to use straight from the tube. Printing tools can be cleaned easily with water.
