Winsor & Newton Watercolour Ground White 250 ml is a white ground for watercolour painting, designed to prepare a variety of surfaces for use with watercolour paints. Once applied, it gives the surface properties similar to watercolour paper, allowing watercolour techniques to be explored on unconventional supports.

The ground can be used on primed canvas, wood, glass and many other smooth surfaces. It provides suitable absorbency, helps maintain colour intensity and promotes even drying and attractive tonal transitions.
