GOUACHE DANIEL SMITH EXTRA FINE Sepia 15ml
Sepia is a gray-brown color that was originally made from cuttlefish ink, but today it is produced through chemical processes. It appears dark brown-black straight from the tube, and when mixed with white, it becomes a warm gray with brown tones.
When you look at the gouache swatches, the top shows the color straight from the tube, while the bottom demonstrates how it looks when mixed equally with paint, water, and Titanium White.
DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine™ GOUACHE is a high-quality, water-based paint that provides a solid matte finish. It uses the same premium pigments and gum arabic as DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine™ Watercolors but is specially formulated with a higher concentration of pigment to achieve a rich, opaque look without the need for added whites or fillers.
No matter what type of painting you prefer—whether it's abstract, representational, illustrative, or figurative—you’ll find this gouache very versatile. You can use it straight from the tube for bold, vibrant colors in one stroke. Mixing it with water allows you to create softer lines and gentle layers. You can blend colors to customize your palette and scrape the surface or use different tools to add texture.
