Bronzite Genuine is a warm honey-bronze color with a lustrous sparkle from very fine iron oxide particles. This fibrous and somewhat delicate stone from Brazil is often used in jewelry but works exceptionally well as a watercolor pigment. In its mass tone, it appears as a warm golden-brown, sitting between ochre and sienna but with a distinctive character of its own. When diluted, it creates soft washes of warm sandy beige.
When used on cold-pressed or rough paper, the brown pigments settle, revealing the unique effects of this special color.
