Arches® Watercolour Paper is a professional-grade paper made from 100% cotton. Produced using traditional cylinder mould techniques, it features a natural and harmonious texture that closely resembles handmade paper. This manufacturing method ensures an even distribution of fibers, providing excellent stability and resistance to deformation. The dimensional stability of the paper allows it to stretch evenly when wet.

During production, the paper undergoes a unique sizing process with natural gelatin, which provides exceptional resistance to scraping and ensures accurate colour reproduction. Arches® paper is durable, ISO 9706 certified, and protected against mold. Its natural white colour is achieved without the use of optical brighteners, offering optimal preservation for archival purposes.

Available in three surface textures: cold pressed (fine grain), rough (coarse grain), and hot pressed (smooth).
